We do think this is a reproduction, as we were not able to identify it per reference materials.  Reproductions are tomorrow's antiques, and if you are collecting and want to see what a reproduction looks and feels like so that you can identify them in out in the wild , this might be a good investment to learn.  No damage.  It still makes a great addition to your collection, and it has a story!
